September 10th - The American Society of Landscape Architects will be touring the Gardens and Grounds.
BirdWalks - Thursday, September 16, and Thursday, September 23, both at 8:30 am. Bring your binoculars and catch the fall migration with experienced birder, Sheila Cochran.
September 18th - A group from New Hope United Methodist Church will have a docent-led tour
Woods Walk - November 4th at 10 am - Brillant Fall Color with Native Plants. This walk will feature native plants such as: American Serviceberry, American Yellowwood, Virginia Sweetspire, Spicebush, Fragrant Sumac and native ferns and grasses. Come stroll with staff horticulturist, Deanne Eversmeyer.
For the tours - Participants meet at the George Washington statue on Pilgrim Road, which is on the south side of the Cathedral. Visitor parking is available in the Cathedral garage acessible off of Wisconsin Avenue. No reservations required and programs are free. Woodlands information line: 202 537-2319.
